MyMedievalTower: CellarDefense — Privacy Policy
Privacy policy · 21 October 2026
This policy describes MyMedievalTower: CellarDefense (Android package com.potatisspel.mymedievaltower), developed by PotatisSpel. For privacy questions or requests, contact potatisspel@gmail.com.
Offline play and local storage
Single-player works offline and does not require a game account. The game stores your display name, settings, progress, achievements, statistics, build plans and saved solo run locally on your device. PotatisSpel does not operate a server receiving those saves. The current game does not include advertising, advertising identifiers, analytics SDKs, in-app purchases or cloud-save accounts.
Optional local co-op
When you choose to host, find or join a local co-op game, the game uses your local network to discover lobbies and connect players. It exchanges network connection details, a temporary lobby code, game version and compatibility information. Connected players exchange display names, selected Castellans, cosmetics, progression and unlock information needed for co-op, readiness and gameplay actions and state. The host processes this information to run the shared game and sends the relevant lobby and game state to connected players. Use a nickname rather than your real name; do not include sensitive information in it. Co-op network traffic is not encrypted by the game. Play only on trusted networks with people you trust. PotatisSpel does not receive this traffic through a dedicated game server.
Co-op retention
Remote player profiles and co-op session state are held in the game's memory. Lobby profiles are cleared when leaving; the host's last simulation may remain in memory until a new run replaces it or the game is closed. Co-op results can update each player's own locally saved progress, statistics and rewards. A co-op run itself cannot be saved. Other players can see the information displayed to them, and PotatisSpel cannot control screenshots or copies they make.
Google Play updates
On supported Android installations, the game communicates with Google Play through the Play In-App Updates library to check for and install updates. Google documents the processing of device metadata, application version and the list of installed modules and asset packs to determine update availability and size. Google states that this data is encrypted, is not transferred to third parties and is deleted after a fixed retention period. Google operates the Play Store under its own terms and privacy policy; PotatisSpel does not receive this update metadata as an analytics feed. See https://developer.android.com/guide/playcore/in-app-updates and https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Support messages
If you email potatisspel@gmail.com, your email address and the information you choose to send are processed to answer your request. Do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive information. Correspondence is kept only as needed to handle the request and any applicable legal obligations; it is not used for advertising.
Purposes and legal bases
Where personal data is involved, optional co-op processing enables the shared game you request; support correspondence enables us to answer your request. The relevant legal bases are performance of the requested service and, where applicable, legitimate interests in maintaining the game, resolving support issues and protecting legal rights. You can use single-player without joining co-op. Google is responsible for its own Play Store processing.
Your choices and rights
You can change your display name in Settings and stop co-op transmission by leaving the lobby. Clear the game's storage in Android settings to remove its local data; this also removes progress. Device backups, if enabled by your device or platform, are controlled through that platform. There is no PotatisSpel online account to delete. Contact potatisspel@gmail.com for privacy questions, access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection requests where applicable. You may also complain to your data protection authority, including the Austrian Data Protection Authority at https://www.dsb.gv.at. We cannot access your device's local saves or erase copies held by other players.
Children and changes
The game does not ask for a date of birth or require a real name, and does not include targeted advertising. Children should use a nickname and play local co-op only with trusted people. This policy applies to the features described above. If later releases add cloud saves, accounts, analytics, advertising or purchases, the policy and store disclosures must be updated before those features are released.
